Complex technology.
Human stakes.
Credible stories.

I make complicated things clear. I dig into the technology, risk, research, or change. I find the story. Then I tell it in terms people understand, trust, and act on.

Who I am

The work is writing. The value is judgment.

I make complicated things clear. I dig into the technology, risk, research, or change. I find the story. Then I tell it in terms people understand, trust, and act on.

The settings have ranged from Big Four consulting and enterprise technology to digital identity, fintech, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and financial crime. The through-line has been consistent: find and talk to the experts, understand the substance, identify the story, make it credible, and build the system that carries it into the business and the market.

Writing is still the foundation. Writing is thinking, which makes it even more critical in the age of AI, when human oversight matters more, not less. The larger job is judgment: deciding what an organization should say, why anyone should care, who needs to hear it, and how communications can move the business and give people something to act on.

A few things I’ve built

Stories designed to travel.

I’m less interested in producing one more asset than in creating a story that resonates with people across organizations and borders.

Category Narrative · BioCatch

The Dark Economy

I created the concept and narrative architecture for a category-sized story: fraud, scams, mule networks, and money laundering are not isolated incidents, but parts of an interconnected criminal economy.

What I led: narrative strategy, executive alignment, rollout architecture, thought-leadership development, and the concept for a global banking-leader survey.

Human-Centered Storytelling · BioCatch

Making fraud human

I led the 2023–24 evolution of BioCatch’s human-first fraud storytelling, including the True Love romance-scam campaign and Stories Are Human. Humans Are Stories.

The approach: lead with human stakes, then connect them to expert analysis, earned media, executive visibility, demand generation, events, and the technology behind prevention.

Research-to-Market · Communications Operations

A research report should do more than sit on a shelf.

I built a repeatable operating model that moved proprietary research from analyst insight into flagship monthly fraud reports, then adapted that work for PR, executive thought leadership, analyst engagement, events, demand generation, customer education, and sales enablement.

M.Talks

I conceived, developed, managed, and hosted a monthly live-video program connecting leaders and subject-matter experts with employees across the organization, then built the communications process around it. M.Talks earned IABC Golden Flame recognition.

How I work

The story is only useful if the organization can carry it.

I’ve led teams and agency partners across PR, thought leadership, fraud intelligence, social media, and creative, while working across executives, researchers, data scientists, product, marketing, sales, analysts, and events.

Leadership scope

At BioCatch, the job included building the function, not just the work.

I built and fully staffed a four-person global communications team, managed agency partners, and owned the annual global PR budget. Earlier roles at Deloitte Consulting, Manheim, and Fiserv established the people-management foundation behind that work, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and team leadership.

Executive & Corporate Communications

Executive counsel, ghostwriting, strategic messaging, presentations, internal communications, and change.

Brand Narrative & Positioning

Category stories, company narratives, brand platforms, messaging architecture, and market differentiation.

Thought Leadership & Research

Research strategy, flagship programs, media narratives, analyst engagement, and executive authority.

Communications Operations

Planning rhythms, cross-functional systems, agency leadership, reuse models, measurement, and operating discipline.

Applied AI

Increase communications leverage without surrendering judgment.

I’m using AI for research, synthesis, decision support, quality control, and narrative development, with human review built in.

Experience

A career built around complicated things.

Big Four consulting, enterprise technology, digital identity, fraud and financial crime, and AI-enabled communications.

Let’s talk

If the story is complicated, I’m interested.

I’m interested in VP, Head of, and Director+ roles spanning communications, brand, and narrative leadership, particularly where complex technology, trust, risk, research, or change are central to the story.

I’m comfortable leading an established team, building a function from scratch, or operating hands-on when the situation calls for it. I also use AI-enabled workflows to extend the capacity of lean teams without giving up human judgment or accountability.
